Flash Friday: Flash of a Writing Contest

Flash of a Writing Contest

Tomorrow will be the last Serial Saturday entry. In its place, I've got a few things in mind. One of them might be a writing contest. I'll give a prompt and entrants will write a 500 word story. It can be shorter, but it must be no longer than 500 words.

So, today we'll experiment with the concept to see if there's any interest. There will be a prize every week along with a prize sticker for your blog, website or for your forehead if you like.

I'll pick one winner. To the winner of this week's Flash Friday writing, the prize will be a free copy of one of my books. It will be delivered through Smashwords. You'll pick the book, and I'll email the coupon code to any email address you like. (The email address will never be used for promotions or given to a third party. I promise!)

You'll have until next Thursday, July 11th to come up with your 500 word masterpiece. The story should involve erotica and some form of non-consent, reluctance, blackmail, sleep-sex...you get the idea, I hope. No pedophilia or scat stories, please.

On Friday next week, I'll announce the winner here on the blog. I'll even tweet the winner's name to my followers with a link to their blog if it's provided to me in advance.

I'm excited about this contest. There aren't many writing contests for erotica and none that I've seen for dark erotica. If I'm wrong about that, I'd love a link to another so I can participate in theirs! Tell me about it in the comments below.

Now, here's the prompt for the week.
You don't have to specifically mention these exact words but I have to be able to pick up the symbolism or be able to find it if you explain.

"A hotel concierge; a ringing telephone; and a spanking."

Good luck!

    1. Yep! Less than 500 words, so keep that in mind.
