The Slave Hunt - A New Novella

Kain had everything a man could want, and what he didn't have, he took. Wealthy and successful, he knew what he wanted from life. Yet, he was bored. Everything in his life was easy now that he'd achieved a measure of financial success. He needed a new challenge.

Roxie was as much of a fighter as Kain, but her life had been anything but easy. Even a place to stay was hard to find at times. She made sacrifices in the hopes of one day being successful.

These two people so alike, yet so different, are fated to meet in a most unexpected way; in a hunt unlike any other. It's a hunt in which they'll both take part. One as a hunter, the other as prey.

Who will come out the victor?

Their lives are about to change forever.

The Slave Hunt at A1 Adult Ebooks
Not for the faint of heart. This book has forced anal, sadism, capture elements and slave training.

Blackmailing Fiona

After the 'zon smashed all my books to pieces (except one), I have to admit I was discouraged. I didn't stop writing, but I changed my style for a bit. Created a pen name and wrote some chick lit. While it was fun, I missed erotica. A lot.

I'm publishing with A1 Adult Ebooks now. This latest book is exclusive with them. They publish on their own sites and distribute to other retailers. This is the first time I've gone exclusive with them even though I've put all my self-published titles in their store. I've always done better there with the stronger themes like noncon and the rough BDSM.

With all that said, don't be frightened if you go to the site. It's not the prettiest! They accept Paypal, which is a nice feature for customers, and they are completely trustworthy. Don't let the look of them fool you. I've recently been emailing back and forth with the site owner about a technical difficulty on my profile. He was very friendly and helpful. Bet you can't say that about the 'zon!

That's enough rambling! Here's the book. Links will take you to the book's page on A1 Adult Ebooks.

Fiona is a neglected and fairly sheltered lawyer. She's married to an ambitious district attorney, and future politician; the last thing her family needs is a scandal. That's exactly what would happen should hidden yearnings of Fiona come to light. Yearnings and sexual fantasies that someone discovers.

Soon, Fiona will find herself entangled in a web of threats and blackmail caught between love for her husband and the possibility of her darkest desires coming to life.

How could I say no to Nano? For the past week, I've seen posts talking about the month to come. With other projects on my plate, I decided that I couldn't be involved in the mad race to the 50k finish line. Plus, I hadn't even edited the one from last year. It's been an entire year. Wow.

That was two days ago. This morning I woke with a different mindset. How could I not write? My other projects are all creative, but none are writing. At least, not the good kind. I've been creating things. Making with my hands, but not with my mind.

That sounded cryptic, didn't it?

My point is: I miss erotica. With all the changes to the erotica publishing landscape, I let myself be disappointed and discouraged. If I can't write the kind of erotica I love then I didn't see much point in writing erotica at all. It could explain why I haven't had the energy to tackle the BDSM novel from last year. Don't get me wrong, I love BDSM erotica, but non-consent is where my real passions lie.

I have no outline, no plot, no characters but still I'm jumping cannonball-style into the Nano pool. I have one story to finish, (I've been writing this 20k word story for months) so this is the plan... I'll finish that story in the next five days. 9k words in five days should be possible. After that's finished, I'll outline three stories. I'm not doing the traditional 50k word story in a month. I'll be a rebel and write one 15k story per week. They'll be the non-consent that I love. I'll find a place for them later!

One week for finishing the WIP.
Three weeks for three stories of 15k each.

In the end, it'll be 54k total but I'm excited by this idea. I love the energy of Nano. All the people gathering together to accomplish a goal. The Twittersphere should be a flutter with determined writers banding together.

I miss that.

There's nothing like Nano month.

And to get into the spirit, here's a tied up woman for your enjoyment! Mine too. Most of the time, I image it's me tied up like that. This picture came from I found it by searching for Forced Anal Bondage. Yummy.

Back with a Vengeance!

Or with a sale, at least.

As I was preparing myself mentally to gear up for Nanowrimo, I realized that last year's finished book still sits on my hard drive. While I edit and prepare that novel for publication, I'm discounting the current BDSM book on Amazon.

99 cents!

Encourage me while I edit!

Quote from Anais Nin

“I do not want to be the leader. I refuse to be the leader. I want to live darkly and richly in my femaleness. I want a man lying over me, always over me. His will, his pleasure, his desire, his life, his work, his sexuality the touchstone, the command, my pivot. I don’t mind working, holding my ground intellectually, artistically; but as a woman, oh, God, as a woman I want to be dominated. I don’t mind being told to stand on my own feet, not to cling, be all that I am capable of doing, but I am going to be pursued, fucked, possessed by the will of a male at his time, his bidding.”

Helpful Erotica Promotion Links

It's difficult to advertise a sale or free promotion on an erotic ebook when most of the popular book promotion sites don't take our genre. This is the list I use for my promotions. While compiling this list, I decided to put everything together in a file. One semi-complete listing of all the forums, Facebook pages and Twitter hashtags that I use to promote my ebooks. I believe it's important to support other writers, so I'm sharing here.

What I'd Buy With a Million Dollars

They say a million dollars isn't a lot of money. That may be true, but I could buy a lot with a million dollars. I'd like to find out! If someone wants to give me a million dollars or a million people are willing to give me one dollar, I'll put this experiment to the test and report back to you; the readers. I'd sacrifice myself for you because I love you, Readers.

I've always wondered why BDSM dungeons have to be so creepy and dark. Why does it need to be scary? A man with a flogger in his hand standing over you can be scary in a creepy basement or a frilly bedroom. He's still a man with a flogger in his hand! I've figured it out. It was a duh moment. It's because the dark, creepy basement is soundproof. So, for my first purchase:

With half my million dollars, I'd buy a small house with a basement that I could soundproof.

I'd need equipment in that basement like a fuck machine. I really want one of those. For those that don't know what that is, it's a dildo on a metal rod attached to a motor. It would have to be a super powerful motor. So, purchase number two:

Fuck machine with powerful super-motor able to drill fast and furiously.

I'd need a fully stocked toy chest for the sound proofed basement. For my third, fourth and fifth purchase:

I'm torn. I want this. A toy chest full of wonder and excitement. I love the idea of treasure chests. If they were full of gold coins and dildos, they'd be perfect.

But what I want to be stocked in that treasure chest of wonder is this:

What would you buy with a million dollars?

Extended Sale

For Black Friday, I discounted my $2.99 ebook Fearful Cravings to 99 cents on Amazon. I'm extending that sale for the entire month of December while I prepare my new novel for publication. It helps to motivate me when I have goals, even self-inflicted ones.

The cover recently went through an overhaul, too!

Turkey Comas and Exhaustion

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone who celebrates. Happy Stuff-Your-Face Day to those who use this as an excuse to eat turkey until they fall asleep on the couch with strings of it falling from their slack mouths. I might be guilty of this. Except I make sure there's no food in my mouth before I snooze!

NaNoWriMo is finished for me. I miss that graph showing my daily progress. The novel isn't finished. I'm a good five chapters from completion, so the work steadily continues.

Random Picture Diary

To help you get into my head a little bit, I'm going to show you a random, yet average day for me in picture form. (What do you mean you don't want to get into my head? psshh of course you do.) These are both my thoughts and actual things that happen.

One Quirky Fact

Here's a little-known, quirky fact about me.

I don't like chocolate cake or ice cream. I know! It's insane. I love chocolate in many other forms. I mean love chocolate. Especially chocolate-covered cherries and thin mints, but not cake or ice cream. I'm not sure who to blame for that, but it won't be hard to find someone.

What's a strange, quirky fact about you that might surprise people?

Self Publishing

As a self published author, it's difficult to be everything. You want to write a great book, sit back with a sense of satisfaction because you finished, and let the readers come to you. Unfortunately, it doesn't work like that. Once you're done with your book, there's more work waiting to be completed.

Author platform

The author platform was the hardest thing for me when I started. I understood the need for it to a certain extent, but didn't want to do it. People needed to notice me. That made sense. I had to be heard above the noise. Wave my hands wide over my head to get readers to find my books. No guarantee they would buy the books, love my work, or become fans. That was just to get them to notice me.

I created a blog, wrote some posts, jumped on Facebook and Twitter waving my arms like a mad person! Readers noticed. Some became fans, more often, readers flinched from my work. Admittedly, it's not for everyone.

Anyway, back to my point, it's overwhelming for the new author. It's sometimes even bewildering for more experienced authors who only want to write their books, publish and move on to the next. Promoting and marketing are key to an author getting noticed when they're starting out.

My website, blog and other social media needed a facelift. I know how important it is to have a platform, and yet, I let mine become a mish-mash of undefined ideas.

Not anymore!

Someone saved me from the mish-mash. Months ago, another author recommended the Self Publishing Toolkit, which is a free downloadable PDF with some great tips on self publishing. When I saw that she was offering website author services, I had to jump at the chance to fix my website. That thing was a complete mess. It was supposed to be a drag-and-drop type of design, but everytime I dragged something onto the site, it moved the whole design. Sometimes, the pictures would fly all the way to the left off the page, and other times, they would become so huge I couldn't see anything at all. You get the point. Disaster.

She said, "What would you like for your website?"

No clue seemed like the wrong response. "I'd like a classy, erotic and sexy site."

Talk about vague, but Daphne ran with it. I'm always concerned about people being offended by my content, but she was completely professional. A great choice for erotica authors who might be worried that website designers won't do your content justice. Or for authors who have run into that "We don't do erotica" wall. She had a few clarifying questions along the way, but she gave me an author platform, not just a website. I have a beautiful website and banners for Twitter and Facebook, too.

Authors, consider the overall theme for your platform. If you don't have one, you might want to consider using The Self Publishing Toolkit's Website Services.

Go look at my new website to see what a fantastic design she created!

Thanks Daphne!

Not a Cover Reveal

My Nano project has approximately 12k words so far. It's off to a good start, and I love where the story is headed. The main character is a photographer who is searching for a Dom. The story follows her search, but it's when she stops searching that she finds exactly what she needs.

Blurbs are the hardest, so that will be cleaned up a bit, but you get the gist. It's going to be a humorous, BDSM erotic romance. (That exists, right?)

It had no title until yesterday. By the end of the night, I had a title and a cover. Instead of doing a cover reveal, I thought it might be fun to get some feedback and make changes.

I love the film strip in the middle. The other elements might need some work. A cover cannot be completed in one day and come out looking like a masterpiece, so that's where you come in. Let me know your opinion. Would you check out this book based on the cover? Does it need something more? Does it draw you in? Does it repel you and make you cringe?

This is your perfect chance to get in on the ground level of a cover design to give your thoughts and opinions!

Little Known Fact About Erotica Writers

We Don't Want to Sex Chat With You

I know. Shocking. We are open with our Masters/Dommes/boyfriends/husbands/girlfriends/partners/whatevers about sex. Overall, we are free-spirited individuals who love writing about intimate details between couples, strangers or casual acquaintances. Erotica writers have to be free and open enough to the fantasy to write erotica. We don't have to be free and open with you. We don't know you. Erotica writers love their fans. Don't get me wrong. We love to hear how much you love our books, how we write about sex so raunchy that it makes your cock stand up, but don't talk intimately to us about the hardness of your cock in any way, shape, or form. It crosses the line.

It's a line that exists in other genres, too, but the line isn't crossed as often. You can't walk up to the writer behind the Dexter books and tell him how much he inspired you to kill your next-door neighbor with a roll of Saran Wrap and a machete. Jeff Lindsay will call the police on you, not carry on a conversation about how hard it was to clean up the blood while you chastise him for not mentioning that blood causes stains while writing his book.

The average fantasy and science fiction fan understands he can't learn to fly by wearing a cape, or walk through the wall of a train station to board the express to Hogwarts. Those fans know that zombies are not outside the fences of the prison trying to get in and eat brains, but they can chat about how amazing the fantasy is. Or if the fans really do believe too deeply in zombies, they become doomsday preppers. They take it to another level, but even those die hard believers don't expect the authors to get involved to that degree. All genres have lines that fans might want to cross, but most fans of the other genres understand that the story is fantasy. Except some erotica fans.

For some reason, we touch fans so deeply that they want to touch us back. I don't believe in being rude to fans. They might not be able to express themselves appropriately about how much they loved the characters, the sex, or the book itself, but they deserve respect. With that being said, fans should keep their touch appropriate.

Don't touch us, we'll touch you.

The Big Bad Wolfe is Almost Here!

Here's another excerpt from Big Bad Wolfe, which will be published tonight on Smashwords. For 24 hours, it will be priced at 99 cents for those readers who read my blog steadily and act fast. It's a reward for being such loyal fans. My thanks to you!

Big Bad Wolfe

He slapped her ass cheek hard. “Stay still. I didn't say you could move, bitch.”

She cried out in surprise, “Stop calling me that.”

He chuckled as he slapped her ass again, “Stop calling you bitch. How about my bitch? Is that better?”

She tried to figure out how to remove herself from the position she'd willingly gotten into for him. He slid a finger along her pussy lips. The finger teased at her opening but didn't enter. It dipped in slightly, seductive yet annoying. She wanted to feel that finger enter her pussy. She wanted his cock to slam inside her, but since it was only his finger, she wished he'd stop teasing.

A sudden heat and puff of air told her that he examined her pussy with intense concentration. He growled low in his throat as he dipped one finger into her.

Her answering whimper caused him to raise his eyes to her face. “You like that, don't you, my bitch?”

He shoved his finger deep before she could answer, so her tremulous voice took effort to emerge, “Y-yes.”

Nodding as if he expected that answer, he removed his finger and brushed the wetness over the tip of his cock.

His fingertips hooked into her hips as his thumbs pulled and rotated her ass cheeks. She could feel how open it made her when he spread her cheeks. By the look on his face, she could imagine what it looked like to him. Her pussy and ass on display with each rotation before winking out of existence. The hide and seek between her thighs fueled his passion because the next moment he slammed his cock deep inside her pussy with no warning, no gentle nudging to get situated in the proper position. If he missed, it would have been painful, but his cock aimed well, and he didn't miss.

This book has elements of non-consent, forced anal, slaves, a brief flash of incest and lots of bondage.

I'll make an announcement when the book is live on Smashwords! Keep an eye out on Twitter, Facebook or Smashwords itself.

The Challenge

Long before I started publishing erotica, I wondered if there would be a place for my writing. This happened around the time of the Paypal storm. I barely remember that blow up in detail. It might be hiding behind my horror and disappointment at the time. Following along with the Paypal story, I realized that many authors were self-publishing their stories. A disappointing yet eye-opening time for me. Thankfully, that Paypal problem died down.

Excerpt from Big Bad Wolfe

Coming soon!

In a blink, the heat of the day left. She had a sudden vision of him laying over her, both of them sweaty and naked. With her fingers tangled in his hair, they kissed hard, passionately, breathlessly. She cried out into his mouth. Her breasts aching for his touch; she arched her back, the pressure intense as her nipples were crushed into his muscled chest.

Cover Reveal

I'm almost finished editing a new story. The cover has been done for a while, so I thought a cover reveal would be fun.

What do you think?
